BGM Wealth Partners (Bloomington, MN Hybrid Role) Seeking Lead Wealth Partner

Responsibilities

This position has a diverse and busy schedule. A successful candidate:

  • Works within a team of advisors to develop, maintain, present, and execute client financial plans
  • Acts as the lead relationship manager for client households
  • Contributes to the leadership of the group by mentoring Associate Wealth Partners and Paraplanners
  • Participates on the Investment Committee
  • Stays current on financial planning topics, current events, and answers questions for team members
  • Identifies opportunities during client conversations to generate business development opportunities

Over time, this role will develop in one of the following ways depending upon the interests and aptitude of the Wealth Partner, which could be:

1) Director of Financial Planning

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Enhancing the quality and consistency of planning advice and deliverables provided to clients
  • Bringing new and innovative ideas on advanced planning techniques and leveraging planning software
  • Establishing focus amongst the financial planners by aligning the group goals with the strategic direction of the firm

2) Director of Sales and Marketing

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Recommend changes for, and lead projects aimed at, marketing and lead generation improvement
  • Develop new business generation ideas for existing clients and prospects
  • Uses data to monitor and report on program/campaign progress and effectiveness
  • Bringing in new client relationships

3) People Leadership

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Coordinates advisory team assignments based on client needs and advisor workload
  • Helping advisors develop career goals
  •  Managing day-to-day activity of advisory teams

Qualifications:

A successful candidate will have the following skills and knowledge:

  • 5+ years of experience in financial planning
  • CFP® Professional • Knowledge of key financial, investment and risk management concepts
  • Strong communication skills and comfort interacting with clients in-person or remotely, in addition to an ability to present virtually and live
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Can take initiative and act proactively (i.e.: anticipates problems, raises suggestions)
  • Experience with a CRM system (we use Practifi)
  • Experience with financial planning software (we use MoneyGuidePro)
  • Experience with portfolio management software (we use Envestnet Tamarac)
