Position Overview

The Portfolio Trading Specialist’s primary responsibility is assisting in the maintenance and trading of client accounts within the firm’s portfolio management system, Tamarac Trading®, through multiple custodians.

The right candidate has the in-the-weeds technical knowledge in working with custodians to execute trades and robust experience with industry portfolio reporting and trading technology.

The position can be fully remote but prefer ability to work from one of our office locations in OH or PA.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains Tamarac Trading®
  • Executes and reconciles trades at multiple custodians
  • Assists and supports Investment Committee
  • Contributes to team effort

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university
  • 3+ years of custodial experience with Fidelity, Pershing, TDA, or Schwab
  • 2+ years of relevant trading experience, preferably with Tamarac Trading®
  • Working knowledge of asset allocation and portolio construction/management
  • Standard work hours generally tied to market hours
  • Thoroughly enjoy and excel at highly detail-oriented work
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office 365

Director of Operations (Northeast OH or Western PA Location)

Position Overview

The Director of Operations is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the traditional back-office functions of an RIA firm. The role is accountable for the safety and integrity of client information, technology platforms, data and reporting, trading, compliance, and all operations functions.

The right candidate not only has the in-the-weeds technical knowledge in working with custodians, clients, and industry technology but also the people skills to facilitate a collaborative team and develop talent.

The position reports to the Managing Partner and is the key relationship manager across the advisory team, client service associates, and other operations team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsiblility for key operational functions, including portfolio accounting, client reporting, billing, trading, and related custodial platform work.
  • Oversight and management responsibilities for the Operations team, including selecting, training, and continually developing the team.
  • Lead transition to centralized client service model for Operations team, reworking CRM processes, segmenting work based on complexity, and retraining CSAs to work within centralized system.
  • Ensure that the Operations team provides a strong service experience for our clients and is in compliance with all company and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate data across Tamarac CRM, Tamarac Reporting, Envestnet Analytics, and Infusionsoft for clients and internal stakeholders, providing/analyzing key business data to inform firm’s business decisions.
  • Responsible for executing and improving the firm’s compliance processes with support from outside specialists and firm’s CCO.
  • Overall responsibility for firm-wide infrastructure—facilities, computer hardware and software, phones, video, etc.—interfacing with our outsourced IT company.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years industry experience; 5+ years within an RIA firm
  • Significant experience within multiple operational areas — account opening, custodial platforms (Fidelity, Pershing, Schwab, TDA), performance reporting, billing, trading.
  • Tamarac power user (CRM, Reporting, Trading) strongly preferred. Strong user of similar industry technology also considered.
  • Ability to manage, mentor, and develop staff and faciliate collaborative team
  • Naturally optimistic attitude with extraordinary client service orientation
  • Thoroughly enjoy and excel at highly detail-oriented work with the ability to think critically about how to efficiently organize work and construct/manage workflows
  • Above average knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, specifically SharePoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook
